Comics, music, and a little food

A quick dessert smoothie (pardon the bad lighting):

1 frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, cocoa powder, almond milk, and peanut butter

light dinner: raw kale salad, tomatoes, olives, Daiya

"Basic burrito" from Dos Torros: hold the cheese, black and pinto beans, guac, tomatoes + onions, 2 kinds of spicy salsa

sauteed kale, broccoli, onions, and chickpeas with Daiya melted on top.
some funny Lisa Hanawalt comics. She's got a new book out and I'm a fan. She does a lot of food-themed stuff, so:

a breakfast. oats, chia, strawberries, raspberries, banana, almond milk. coffee.

J and I saw Death Side the other night. They're an older Japanese hardcore band who have never played America and were flown to NYC specifically to play that show. It sold out really quickly. so they added a second night. Punks came in from all over to see the show! We are so lucky to have gotten to see them! It was fuckin wild. I didn't get any shots inside, but this was part of the crowd. Some of the only 6 inch mohawks I've seen in the last 15 years!

  1. You really don't see a lot of 6 inch mohawks anymore.
After reading this, I have a huge craving for greens and burritos!

  2. Awwww that show must have been so effing good!!
Snack realism is hilarious. You're eats are always stellar <3 Nice you have glass door cupboards. I just took the doors off my cupboards but the dust that accumulates sucks.

    1. the show was SO GREAT!
oh yeah, the cupboards were so sweet - you don't often see built in storage like that in NYC apartments - they were definitely one of the selling points for me for the place.

  3. Such nutricious eating, you must've been the healthiest punk at the show.
