soups, salads, smoothies, and Reno

I guess the best I can do these days is go though on/off phases of posting. Things have been pretty good around here in general, but busy and a little stressful. Trying to take more time to prepare meals, though.

A really delicious and filling lentil soup with ginger and parsnip along with the usual suspects (garlic, onion, broth, lentils, carrot, celery.) This bowl had a bit of bok choy tossed in too.

roasted parsnip, broccoli, and beet with tofu and hummus for a few lunch salads.

Lil Reno, all worn out on the couch in the low winter sunlight

a smoothie! It's still warm inside, thank goodness. Spinach, frozen banana, cranberries, coconut flakes, Vega berry protein powder, almond milk, lemon, and water.

loaded salad: spinach, roasted kabocha, carrot, broccoli, mushroom, tofu, avocado, and hummus. Not great lighting.

raw kale salad, roasted kabocha, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries.

reading the new Ian Svenonius. It's pretty wild. Drinking a Rawpothecary drink on sale. Also wild.

Jarrod bowl. Brown rice with a beet, broccoli, mushroom, tofu, chickpea dish. Plus lotsa onion, garlic, and Braggs.
Got more stuff comin' yr way soon.

  1. Reno looks so peaceful. The lentil soup looks tasty, I've never added bok choy, might have to try that!

  4. I like seeing the collection of things you've eaten — you always manage to cover the color and flavor spectrum. And you manage to photograph AND post the collection. I take lots of photos but most never get past my computer.
