Breakfast:
5 dried apricots, 3 blackberries.
iced coffee and a small bag of pistachios at work.
Lunch:
Leftovers from dinner: steamed kale, herbed beans, avocado, tahini dressing.
green tea
Dinner:
In the fading light, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, hemp seeds. Socca on the side with FYH mozzarella.
The FYH isn't bad if you slice it thinly and warm it up.
Dessert:
a piece of a Righteously Raw maca chocolate truffle bar. Interesting flavor.
Also, y'all are showing yr pets of late. Here's Haxan, being a babe:
Say goodnight, Haxan.
I have yet to try maca and hemp seeds, and have heard way too much about each to know I'm missing out! I suppose I'm left wondering, are they worth the price?
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate/maca is not worth it. The hemp seeds are!
DeleteAww Haxan! What a cutiepants!! That chocolate bar sounds interesting and yummy! Your leftover steamed kale looks great and kind of reminds me of a meal I'd get in restaurants which was escarole sauteed in olive oil with cannellini beans and garlic. Looks just like it, yum! Great looking dinner, I need to get on that socca!
ReplyDeleteI so rarely see escarole! It's pretty great.
DeleteHaxan looks so sweet! And good looking foods, as usual :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to try that bar. And I'm pretty sure that I can find it in my neighborhood. Maca and chocolate are one of my favorite flavor combos.
Happy Friday!
You must have a very special neighborhood :)
DeleteOh god, berries. I need to get on that train before it chugs along to the kingdom of winter (which is a sad, berry-less place). That raw chocolate looks gorgeous - though I dislike maca, so maybe a different flavor? Ha ha. Haxan is an awesome cat name, totally badass.
ReplyDeleteEven these berries were not so great. I saw some at the Farmar the other day, but I think berries are already past their prime. Sad!
DeleteYeah! Haxan means witch in Swedish, so she's super badass.
The lunch bowl wins.
ReplyDeleteI hope big move isn't too stressful for Haxan. Keep her/him? in a small quiet confined space to begin with (please).
Thank you for the tips! I want this to be super easy for her.
DeleteMeow, that Haxan is such a looker! ;) Lovely meals, as always, too. Wishing you lots of luck as your move into your new spot!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ingrid :)
DeleteI agree with Ingrid, Maxan is quite the looker! Such a babe. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your ability to only eat 5 dried apricots. I have a very hard time not eating far too many when I have a bag of them, for some reason.
I tried one of the bars a while back & was not a fan.
Haha, I only didn't over-indulge in apricots since I was in a rush that morning.
DeleteToo bad about the chocolate! The caramel flavor is really good.
I just have to ask. Is that all you ate for a whole day, or just the highlights. It makes me feel like I eat too much. Haxan is a beauty — and knows it!
ReplyDeletep.s. Molly, if you see this, I've been having trouble getting on your blog.
This was it, for the day... Some days I snack more than others, this was not one of those days.
DeleteIt's been so strange to see "cheese" on your blog lately! I think FYH is so good cold and plain, and I only eat Daiya melted. Also I think FYH is BEST when it is grated with one of the smallest holed graters - like on tacos, yum!
