Food. Yurp.

Breakfast smoothie:

Spinach, spirulina, frozen banana, frozen raspberries, ginger, agave.
Lunch:

more nori rolls. With quinoa, spinach, bell pepper, and enoki mushrooms rearing their heads. Side of sriracha.
Snacks in the meantime...ants on a log, carrot sticks, lots of dates with almond butter, and pickles, oddly....
Dinner:

Salad (greens, beets, carrots, bell pepper, tomato, cucumber) with tofu, avocado, sweet potato. Covered in lemon juice, nooch, and pepper.

  1. Pickles?! Is this why you've been acting so 'hormonal' lately? Is a little vegan blogger in the oven? Insert non-raw joke here.

  2. What a delicious and colorful day! The smoothie sounds great, those nori rolls are lovely (I wish I wasn't so lazy, I'd make some too!) and the salad looks fresh and beautiful! Lots of enviable eats!

  5. Shen, I think I just ate so many cookies yesterday that my body was dying for some salt to even me out.

malin, haha actually I feel like my spinach intake usually outweighs kale...I guess this was one of those days.

VAVA, yeah the rolls are definitely not an every day thing. Too messy and frustrating. The salad, however, I can do.

Joe, I saw that photo of yr beer and even that was unappetizing. Let's see yr sushi rolls.

  6. Those sushi rolls look like the mushrooms grew out of them. Great idea!

  7. Ok, your nori rolls are actually making me guilty for having eaten nothing but Sweet & Sara since I woke up. Clarification: copious amounts of Sweet & Sara.

  9. Those little shrooms sticking up from the nori rolls have to be the cutest thing I've seen in a while. And, the salad is yet another healthy taste bomb! Sounds good.

  11. Okay, let's talk about the title. Maybe you haven't seen this movie, but I own it and I love it: "Hot Fuzz". There is a character whose intelligence is questionable, but is definitely a brute. His response to all questions is "Yurp", but with a British accent. Maybe I didn't need to explain this, maybe you already knew! Ha!

Anyway, onto the eats: is there fresh ginger in the smoothie? I bet it would make it nice and spicy! I love the sushi rolls!

  12. mihl, the mushrooms will overtake anything we let them :)

Abby, you -- feel guilty?? Don't do it.

Jes, me too, obviously. I'm hooked on sloppy DIY rolls.

Rose, thanks! I want to be friends with them.

Bianca, most of the time I eat healthy. The rest is a mess, trust me.

Ingrid, never heard of it but I will look into Hot Fuzz. Sounds hilarious. I don't know when/where/how I incorporated YURP into my vocab. maybe by someone who knew. And yes, def fresh ginger. I always feel guilty for using the powdered stuff when I let the fresh nubs go to pot.
