breakfast: oatmeal with blueberries and a spoonful of jam, coffee with sugar
AMPT energy at work
lunch: salad - lettuce, beets, whole carrot, cherry tomatoes, nooch + black pepper, Gala apple
snack: gum and a banana
home: coffee, tea, an orange, beers with G
money spent: 9 on beer, 2 on the banana and gum

today so far:
breakfast: white nectarine, maple brown sugar granola bar
mid-morning snack: ENTIRE package of Yves vegan ham. WHY? and! Fuji apple. I'm not even hungry and I'm just planning my next meal. I'm also drinking more coffee. As if I need the caffeine.

Went to the grocery store, which I also don't need and got 2 apples, Arnold's Sandwich Thins, 40 Spices Tribe Hummus, baby spinach, and soy milk because Rich drinks mine. That kind of gets annoying. Especially since he always gets cereal and I only use it for coffee, really. Eh. $16.90, plus .75 for fruit for Greg and I and the $4.98 for the fake ham and granola bar. Oy vey.

Last night sucked.

Here's what I ate today.
A banana
Coffee with soy milk and sugar (2.00)
Mad baby carrots - like 20 or something
Gala apple
Luna Berry Almond bar (with the peach, 2.59 or something)
Salad - lettuce, raisins, beets, shredded carrot, cherry tomatoes, with sirhacha and nooch

Mostly raw, that's cool. I feel really full right now, but that might be a lot due to the fact that I scarf down dinner so quickly. Oof.
I should do some reading or arting or some shit so I will probably have some coffee. Then probably some beer but I want to run tomorrow early, so we shall see.

Reading Frank Bruni's Born Round. S'entertaining.

Yesterday and Today:

+Mini Cinnamon bagel with PB and jam
+Another great! orange - the citrus season has returned!
+handful of raisins
+Salad - a weird one, because I don't have any real produce: green leaf lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced green olives, nooch, black pepper
+pre-made wrapped vegan sandwich (it's one specific brand they have in some delis in the city and I think this was the only flavor I like. It was a risk and still pretty stupidly expensive. 4 bucks - but cheaper at St. Marks' Market than at the deli. Only 180 calories or something, though, so ehh. I didn't feel like preparing a lunch since I'd be seeing Greg after work.)
+Gala apple (On sale 1.49/lb at the Associated here)
+baby carrots
+V8 (from the stupid vending machine, but at least healthy)
+Blue Moon six pack (shared, 12 dollars from the gas station - outside of which I ran into an old friend from High School! So bizarre, but it made me really happy to see him!)

Okay, and today:
+Unitarian coffee, again. They are quite the welcoming community.
+Really good Gala apple, which Greg paid for, thanks, yo.
+Handful of raisins
+Another of the same weird salad, this time with raisins and chopped onion added
+Two more of Rich's homemade oatmeal-raisin cookies
+Black tea with sugar and soy milk
+Now I'm gonna drink some berrs!!

I'm hungry, kinda but don't really feel like eating if I'm gonna be drinking...or cleaning up after it; I did a number on the bathroom and kitchen this afternoon. So that's nice. I feel a little poisoned with chemicals, though. Oh! And I'm getting sick! How do I deal with this? Vitamins? Juice? Whiskey? Greens? I wanna buy honey and herb tea for the fall anyways.

Sweets for My Sweet

Uh, umm, uuhhmmmm

Oatmeal-Raisin CLIF bar
Coffee with soy milk
salted peanuts
.78 lb ($7.57) from the Whole Foods bar, including: rainbow chard salad (hard to get on fork), baked sweet potato (cold and dry), snap peas (meh), grilled vegetables (too oily), and two Shanghai dumplings (good but I didn't need to).
Nature's Valley granola bar
twizzlers, ugh
two more of Rich's cookies
coffee with chocolate soy milk!

So, I should really find a good salad bar. I go to WF when I really want some nice crunchy fresh salad and then realize they don't actually have that kind of shit; they have wheatberries and overpriced vegetables. I should also stop spending money in the vending machine. Raw raw rawr.

Greg and I are gonna throw a dinner party and it'll be classy and shit. Chef Don type shit. Ugh.

He Almost Took Off His Pants For 'Em

I don't remember even making that last post so I kind of apologize and guiltily add that I ate probably 7 more slices of bread that night, more than three with hummus.
Alcohol is so bad!

Today is my roommate Rich's birthday and I make him some cookies. They were pretty bad, so I should apologize. They were the Oatmeal-Raisin cookies from Veganomicon, which maybe explains why they tasted so lamely healthy? Or maybe because I didn't have brown rice syrup and used corn syrup instead? Or because I know I probably used less brown sugar than the recipe called for? Or because half the oil and syrup dribbled out of the measuring cup anyway? Not enough raisins? Oh meh. Happy Birthday, Rich. At least I tasted the final product this time and was able to warn people in time. Some people did seem to like them though (I brought some extras into work) so, whatever. They got et.

Today: (after last night, in which I ate the rest of the chowder and probably about 3 or 4 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches after about 4 or 5 beers and some vodka. Drunky.)
Mini cinnamon bagel with margerine
Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich, coffee with soy milk
(I held off on a 24!)
Spicy V8
about 10 baby carrots
BIG ass banana
Luna Nuts and Cranberry bar (I should never buy these again unless from Trader Joe's)
Three of the birthday cookies
Beer, beer,
Granny Smith apple (which I am coming to appreciate)

Coulda been better, coulda been worse.

Oh, you mean me?

Terrible drunk the other day but let's not talk about that. Or the people who worked at Perelandra. Or how famous it is for rich yuppie mini adults. Being me. OR how drunk I MIGHT be right now.

church coffee awkward but great, Greg, you're nice (no soy)
yellow peach lemmee call it a nectarine
more coffee with soy
went shopping for real, knew it would be a problem (I did), held off on the worst but:
3 spoonfuls of chunky PB and 2 of raspberry jam
Actual dinner: soup (NE Chowder), salad (Lettuce, celery, onion, carrot, mushroom, nooch, balsamic vinegar, black pepper), slice of Rye bread
Dessert: Fuji apple, pear not ripe but still great
Blueberry Crisp CLIF wish I hadn't but not the worst.

That's a lot, right? It is. I'm pretty drunk right now and I want more food and I can't promise I'll get more cause it's early but I might be okay so far? Help me Lord something, I'm glad Andy came over, surely you remember him he did Blow and I knew it and didn't hate him even though that's why he didn't want my soup (Jerk.)

Donnez-moi du Sel

Oatmeal with blueberries and coffee with soy milk and sugar
Baby carrots
(clean room, sweep kitchen) (held off on more coffee)
That same great salad: lettuce, cukes, tomato, avocado, carrot, onion with balsamic, s+p, and nooch
(made dinner:)
Broccoli and broccoli rabe with spinach pasta, black pepper and nooch. When I ate it later, I added a little too much salt, but it did help.
Banana and gum
An apple and gum (in the city)
(Vending machine breakdown:)
Salted peanuts

Probably could have gone without the salted peanuts seeing as how I already had fat in my diet from the avocado and so much salt from the salad and pasta. I was genuinely hungry, though. And I needed a protein pick-me-up for the end of the night. I gotta stop spending so much $ on gum, though. Ridic.

Oh, food-realted that made me REALLY happy. At work today, I had just gotten there, when a thin girl I had noticed a few days earlier asked me if I had ever noticed any books by an Austrian expert on eating disorders, Hilde Bruch, I believe was the name. She said she was usually to shy to ask for help on things like that but, noticing my fork earrings, on which she complemented me, she decided to give it a shot. I, being awkward, didn't say much, but I'm so glad she asked and I hope she found what she wanted. Really happy.

Still no alcohol.

Eating for Eyeball Health

Tuesday: Always time to turn over a new leaf. No alcohol still.

Breakfast: Kashi Island Vanilla with soy milk and black coffee
Snack: Nectarine
Lunch: Baby carrots and a Naked juice Green Machine
Dinner: a really good salad: lettuce, avocado, tomato, carrot, cucumber and onion with balsamic vinegar, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper
Snack: a few more baby carrots and a banana
To work: Coffee with soy milk and sugar
Oh, and gum throughout. I should stop that.
Biggest accomplishment? Going to the bodega for a banana and NOT getting a CLIF bar. The not getting beer really isn't that hard when I know someone's on the other side too. I even finished the food zine for my sister. It kind of sucks but it's informative, which I guess is all she really wanted.

Not bad? The weather is getting cooler and I sort of want to work out but I'm still kind of afraid of (for) my eye. And yes I was conscious of both the iron and Vitamin A content in my meals yesterday, for eyesight's sake and for blood health. Blech.

I'm still alive and eating too much

Alright, I'm doing it again, but blogspot is orange where as wordpress was blue or something hey Mets blah blah and what kind of food blogger would I be if I passed up a fruit for a color, you know?
I still don't have a camera so this will totally be boring but it's not like I'm looking for readership, just a log for myself, I think, without having to constantly waste paper and have my lists and things be in a million different places.
Keep it together, dummy.

I eat too much.
I'm working on something, but I think I'll save it for later.
Alcohol intake? 2 beers. I may run for some more before work because this was an annoying morning. Things may continue to annoy. I was also supposed to run this morning but got drunk and ate compulsively last night. Instead I drank coffee and worried.
